Software that already knows how a local shop runs

Every edition here is the platform pre-configured for one kind of shop, from the register to the rebooking text. Payments are built in: Basic is $99/mo, credited back on your monthly processing statement while you process with us, so the software is on us. The AI builds whatever your counter does differently.

Eleven shops, one register

A florist and a locksmith sell nothing alike and run the same day: a counter, a phone that rings, a customer who should come back. Each edition opens with the workflows that shop actually uses.

Clothing Boutique/TailorOne catalog for the rack and the website, loyalty by phone number, a text when the new arrivals land. Alterations booked with a fitting, a deposit at drop-off and the balance by text link when the garment is ready. Dual pricing shows a cash and a card price on the tag.
Dry CleanersTickets by customer with a card on file charged at pickup or on delivery, and "your order is ready" texts. Pickup-and-delivery route customers are billed weekly. Hotels and restaurants get house accounts invoiced by ACH. Dual pricing on a $14 ticket adds up over 1,500 tickets a month.
Floral ShopOnline ordering from the same catalog as the counter, delivery windows and routes. Wedding and event work takes a deposit, with the balance due two weeks out. Standing orders for offices and restaurants bill the card on file weekly. Holiday reminders go out before Valentine's Day and Mother's Day with a one-tap reorder.
Jewelry ShopCustom and repair work with photos, a deposit at intake and the balance at pickup by text link. Layaway schedules charge the card on file. A $6,000 piece settles by ACH for a flat per-item fee instead of a percentage. Anniversary and birthday reminders from the sale record bring the customer back.
LocksmithCalls answered and dispatched around the clock by the AI receptionist, quoted by text, paid on the spot by tap-to-phone or text link. Property managers and realtors get house accounts with monthly ACH invoices and a one-tap rekey request form. Reviews requested an hour after the job.
Pet GroomerOnline booking by breed and service, a card on file for no-show protection. A text the day before, and "ready for pickup" when the dog is done. The 6-week rebooking text keeps the book full. Dual pricing on every ticket, tips to the groomer on the terminal, a review request on the way out.
Phone Repair ShopQuote by device and issue on the website, booked with a deposit, repaired, paid by text link or at the counter with dual pricing. Parts tracked on the ticket with a text when the screen arrives. Warranty terms on the receipt, accessories at checkout. Schools and offices get monthly B2B invoices.
Retail storesThe parent edition for independent stores. One catalog for the floor and the website, loyalty by phone number, SMS flash sales, returns to the original card, Level 2 data for wholesale. Start here if your shop is not listed.Full edition →
Pawn shopsRenewal and layaway reminders by text, and the card on file charged on the due date when the customer opts in. Fewer forfeits, fewer phone calls. Retail sales at the counter with dual pricing and inventory synced to the website. Your pawn-ticket and compliance system stays in place; this runs the customer and the money.
Funeral homesArrangement conferences booked, the itemized statement signed electronically, payment by card or by ACH for a flat per-item fee, with insurance assignments recorded on the case. Pre-need plans bill monthly to the card on file. Families get one calm page to pay and to share service details. Aftercare messages on the anniversary, in your words.
Vending & micro-market operatorsMicro-market kiosk payments settle into the same merchant account as your office invoicing, with sales by location. Location contracts and commission statements go out on schedule. Service routes by day, restock lists by machine, a text to the site contact when the tech leaves. Corporate accounts invoice monthly by ACH.

What every edition here shares

Four things a local shop does every day, already wired.

Dual pricing at the registerShelf tags and the terminal post a cash price and a card price up front, signage provided. For a shop that swipes 1,500 times a month, that is the fee line the card price covers.
Loyalty and rebooking by phone numberNo app. Points, a "time to come back" text at the right interval, a thank-you after the visit. The customer who comes twice a month gets a reason to make it three.
Card on file for the next stepSpecial orders, alterations, repairs, standing orders and layaway charge the card on file when the item is ready. A text goes out before the charge and after it.
Reviews and the lapsed-customer textA review request an hour after checkout, with a complaint routed to you first. A regular who hasn't been in for 90 days gets a text with something they'd actually want.
Payments built for retail & local shops

Fifteen hundred swipes, one fee line

Small tickets pay twice: the percentage and the per-transaction fee. Every shop here holds its own merchant account with our sponsor-bank processing partner; we are the referring agent, so the relationship is yours.

Compliant dual pricing: shelf tags and the terminal post a cash price and a card price up front. Where a surcharge is used instead, it is capped at the lesser of 3% or your actual cost of acceptance (2% in Colorado and Oklahoma), and debit cards are never surcharged, so shops run dual pricing rather than a surcharge.* Or interchange-plus with one small, disclosed margin, and you save on card fees versus flat-rate pricing: send a statement and we show the math on your real ticket count.

  • Countertop terminals, handheld readers for the floor, kiosks for unattended sales (hardware)
  • Online checkout from the same catalog, same account, same reports
  • Card on file for special orders, layaway, standing orders and memberships, with smart retries
  • ACH at a flat per-item fee instead of a percentage, plus Level 2/3 data, for house accounts and wholesale (ACH)
  • Branded digital and physical gift cards, sold at the counter and online (cards)

Plans for local shops

Which plan fits

Most shops start on Basic ($99/mo, credited back on your monthly processing statement while you process with Merch FinTech, so the software is on us): register, catalog, invoicing, booking, texting and one website. Add Pro ($299/mo, or $249/mo billed annually) for flash sales, loyalty automations and reviews on autopilot. The AI receptionist answers "do you have this in a medium?" and holds the item. Pro is credited back at higher processing volumes. See pricing.

Don't see your business? Bike shops, bookstores, optical, hardware, smoke shops, laundromats. We build new editions regularly. Tell us what you run and we'll configure it from the closest one. Need it built around how you run? Custom builds from $1,999.

FAQ

Local shop questions

Does dual pricing work on a $14 dry-cleaning ticket?
Yes. The terminal posts the cash price and the card price up front and applies the right one by tender; signage is provided. Where a surcharge is used instead, it is capped at the lesser of 3% or your actual cost of acceptance (2% in Colorado and Oklahoma), and debit cards are never surcharged, so shops run dual pricing rather than a surcharge. Programs are subject to card-brand rules and state law and are not available everywhere.
I book appointments and sell product. Is that two systems?
No. Groomers, tailors, jewelers and repair shops book the appointment, take the deposit, sell the accessory and charge the card on file from one record. The calendar, the catalog and the customer live in the same account.
Can I keep my existing terminal?
Sometimes. We supply countertop terminals, handheld readers and kiosks, and before you switch we tell you whether your current terminal can move to our rails. Send us the model with your statement.
What about gift cards and loyalty?
Loyalty is live: points and rewards tied to the customer's phone number, no app to download. Branded gift cards sell at the counter and online, deliver by email or text, and redeem at any register, with balances in the same ledger as every other sale.
