Cookie policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026. What cookies and similar technologies merchfintech.com and the Merch FinTech platform use, and how you can control them.
Plain-English summary. This website uses a small number of essential cookies and browser storage to work and to remember choices like a selected tab. Analytics cookies run only if we have enabled them, and we configure them to avoid identifying you. We set no advertising or tracking cookies by default. The platform you log into uses session and security cookies that cannot be switched off. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, which stores values in your browser, and pixels, which are tiny images that record a page or email was opened. We use the word "cookies" for all of them in this policy. Cookies set by us are first-party; cookies set by another company through our pages are third-party.
2. Cookies we use on this website
The marketing site at merchfintech.com is built to work without tracking. Here is what it uses, by category.
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration | Can you disable it? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Security, load balancing and keeping forms working. Required for the site to function. | Hosting and security cookies set by our hosting provider | Session to 1 year | No, but they hold no personal data beyond a random identifier |
| Preferences | Remembering a choice you made on a page, such as a selected tab, billing toggle or calculator inputs. | Browser local storage set by our site script | Until you clear it | Yes, by clearing site data |
| Analytics (only if enabled) | Counting visits and pages viewed so we know what is read. Configured without cross-site tracking and with IP addresses truncated where the tool allows. | A privacy-respecting analytics cookie or script, if we have turned one on | Up to 13 months | Yes, by blocking cookies or using a tracker blocker |
| Advertising | Not used by default. We set no advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required. | None | — | Not applicable |
| Embedded content | A video, map or booking widget embedded from a third party may set its own cookies when you interact with it. | Cookies from the provider of the embedded content | Set by the provider | Yes, by not interacting with the embed or blocking third-party cookies |
The forms on this site open an email in your mail app or submit to our CRM; they do not set tracking cookies.
3. Cookies in the platform
When you log into the Merch FinTech platform, or a partner's branded version of it, the application sets session cookies that keep you signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery and remember interface settings. These are essential and cannot be disabled while using the platform. Platform usage logs are covered by our privacy policy. Websites, funnels and booking pages you build in the platform for your own customers may set cookies according to the features you turn on; you are responsible for disclosing them to your customers.
4. Email
Service and marketing emails we send may include an open pixel and tracked links so we know whether a message arrived and was read. You can opt out of marketing email with the unsubscribe link in any message. Service emails about your account do not have an opt-out but are limited to what you need to know.
5. How to control cookies
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data, and block third-party cookies by default. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site or platform from working.
- Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Where the law gives these signals effect, we honor them for the data they cover. Because we set no advertising cookies, there is nothing to opt out of in that category today.
- Analytics. If analytics is enabled, most tracker blockers prevent it, and clearing cookies resets the identifier.
6. Changes and contact
We update this policy when the cookies we use change and post the new date at the top. Questions: hello@merchfintech.com, or Merch FinTech LLC, 10185 Collins Ave, Bal Harbour, FL 33154.
This policy is not legal advice.
