Full chairs, fast checkout, the whole ticket

A nail salon runs on volume: dozens of tickets a day, where a percentage fee quietly takes a slice of every one. The software fills the book; dual pricing protects the margin.

Online booking & chair managementBook by service, tech or first available, around the clock from the website, Instagram or a text link. Durations and buffers per tech; six chairs on one screen.
Deposits for no-showsA $20 deposit for first visits and Saturday slots, applied to the ticket. Your policy shows at booking; the platform enforces it.
Tips on the screenTip prompts after the service amount, pooled or direct to the tech, with each tech's tips reported per day.
MembershipsA monthly mani-pedi membership charged on the 1st, with card auto-updating and smart retries. Members see their visits at checkout.
Gift cardsBranded digital and physical gift cards sold at the desk and from the booking page. Holiday revenue before the service is rendered, tracked in the same ledger as every other payment.
Retail on the ticketPolish, cuticle oil and care kits added at checkout, with low-stock alerts and retail commission per tech.
AI, in salon terms

What the AI does for a nail salon

Describe the rule once in plain English. The workflow builder assembles it and asks before switching it on.

Rebooks every client at three to four weeksTwenty-one days after a gel set, the client gets a text with her tech's next openings. One tap books it. No reply? One more text a week later.
Fills the gap when someone cancelsA 2pm cancels. The wait list for that tech gets a text in order, with a 30-minute window each, until the chair is full again.
Answers the DMs and the phone while hands are busyPrices, openings, walk-in wait, parking. The receptionist answers texts, chats and calls around the clock and books into the calendar.
Wins back the client who stopped comingNo visit in eight weeks? A note from the salon with a small offer. Still nothing at twelve? A last one. Then the list stays clean.

Keep the whole ticket

A salon swipes all day, so the fee adds up faster than anywhere. With a compliant dual-pricing program the menu posts a cash price and a card price up front, the terminal shows both, and the fee stops coming out of your margin.

  • Compliant dual pricing with signage included. Where a surcharge is used instead, it is capped at the lesser of 3% or your actual cost of acceptance (2% in Colorado and Oklahoma), and debit cards are never surcharged
  • Or interchange plus one small, disclosed margin, and you save on card fees versus flat-rate pricing. Send a statement and we show the math
  • Card on file for deposits, memberships and no-show charges, with smart retries
  • Tip prompts after the service amount, reported per tech
  • Countertop terminal at the desk or a mobile reader at the chair
  • Each salon holds its own merchant account with our processing partner

Plans for nail salons

Which plan a nail salon picks

A salon with a few chairs starts on Basic at $99/mo, credited back on your monthly processing statement while you process with Merch FinTech, so the software is on us: booking and calendars, invoicing, two-way texting, forms, one website, the client portal and two users. Salons that want memberships, the rebooking automations, the AI receptionist and reviews run on Pro at $299/mo ($249/mo billed annually), credited back at higher processing volumes. Compare plans. Need it built around how you run? Custom builds from $1,999.

A dedicated brand for med spas and salons is next on our brand roadmap. This edition is live today, and your account moves over with you when the brand goes live.

FAQ

Questions from salon owners

How does dual pricing work at a nail salon?
Your menu posts a cash price and a card price up front. The terminal displays both, the client picks, and the card fee stops coming out of your ticket. Where a surcharge is used instead, it is capped at the lesser of 3% or your actual cost of acceptance (2% in Colorado and Oklahoma) and debit is never surcharged. The program is set up to be compliant in your state and the signage is included.
How does tipping work with dual pricing?
The tip prompt appears after the service amount, so clients tip on the service, not the fee. Techs get the full tip, pooled or direct per your rules, reported per day. The card price applies to the ticket under the compliant configuration for your state.
Will deposits scare off new clients?
A deposit on first visits and peak slots is standard now, and the booking page states your policy before the client confirms. You choose where it applies: first visits only, Saturdays, services over a certain length, or nowhere. The deposit comes off the ticket.
Can clients book a specific tech?
Yes. Clients book by service, tech or first available. Each tech sets hours and buffers within your rules, and the rebooking text always offers that client's usual tech first.
Can techs who rent a chair process under one roof?
Yes. A booth renter is her own business, so she holds her own merchant account with her own payouts, while booking, the client list and the salon's look stay on one platform. Rent collects by ACH on your schedule for a flat per-item fee instead of a percentage.
