From estimate to final payment, no paperwork

A $9,000 replacement and a $180 service call run through the same office. The edition handles both: long nurture and deposits on the big ones, pay-at-the-door on the small ones.

Estimate → e-sign → depositBuild the estimate with options and photos, send it, the customer signs on their phone and pays the deposit in the same screen. Signed and funded before you order equipment.
Progress billingDeposit at signing, a draw at rough-in, the balance at final. Each milestone invoices itself from the signed scope, by card or ACH.
Techs on the roadThe mobile app shows the job, the history and the quote. Text-to-pay sends the link; the customer pays on their phone before the truck leaves.
Maintenance membershipsSpring and fall tune-ups billed monthly to the card on file. Failed cards retried and texted, renewals automatic, visits scheduled.
Scheduling & dispatchJob board by tech and day, "your technician is on the way" texts with a name and a window, reminders the day before.
High tickets, lower fees$5K to $40K jobs on a percentage card fee hurt. Compliant dual pricing, ACH at a flat per-item fee instead of a percentage, and consumer financing through referral partners.
AI, in your words

What the AI does for a contractor

The way the owner in the truck would describe it.

Books the no-cool call at 11pmThe AI receptionist answers the call, asks the right questions, books the first open slot and texts a confirmation. The dispatcher sees it in the morning; the customer slept.
Chases the $14,000 quote for six weeksTell the workflow builder: "If a quote over $5,000 isn't signed within three days, text them. Day 7, email the financing option. Day 14, call me." It builds it and asks before switching it on.
Sells the tune-up before the seasonEvery customer with a system you installed gets a maintenance offer in March and September. Members get the visit scheduled; non-members get the pitch.
Collects the final without a phone callFinal invoice unpaid after 5 days: a text with the pay link. Day 10: another. Day 14: the AI calls, politely. Your office manager stops being the collections department.
Payments built in

Big invoices, small fees

Every contractor's merchant account is in their own name with our sponsor-bank processing partner; we are the referring agent. Your stored cards and customer records move with you as tokens and exports if you ever leave.

Interchange-plus with one small, disclosed margin, and you save on card fees versus flat-rate pricing: send a statement and we show the math. Or a compliant dual-pricing program that posts a cash price and a card price up front.* For the large commercial invoice, ACH at a flat per-item fee instead of a percentage beats both.

  • Text-to-pay, tap-to-phone and Bluetooth readers for every truck (hardware)
  • Deposits, draws and finals from the signed estimate
  • ACH at a flat per-item fee; you decide whether the payer covers it (ACH). Returned payments pass the processor's return fee through at cost, with two automatic retries
  • Card on file for memberships and installment schedules, with smart retries
  • Level 2/3 data for property managers paying on corporate cards
  • Consumer financing through referral partners; no lending by us
  • No PCI program fee, no statement fee, no annual fee

Payroll for your staff runs on the same login — see payroll.

*Where a surcharge is used instead of dual pricing, it is capped at the lesser of 3% or your actual cost of acceptance (2% in Colorado and Oklahoma), and debit cards are never surcharged. Dual-pricing and cash-discount programs are subject to card-brand rules and state law and are not available everywhere.

Plans for field services

Which plan fits

Most contractors run Pro ($299/mo, or $249/mo billed annually): the quote nurture, maintenance memberships, the AI receptionist and unlimited users for techs and office staff. A one-truck operation can start on Basic ($99/mo, credited back on your processing statement while you process with Merch FinTech) with estimates, invoicing, texting and the mobile app. Pro is credited back at higher processing volumes. See pricing.

A dedicated field service brand is next on our brand roadmap. This edition is live today, with the contractor workflows pre-built, and your account carries over with you. Need it built around how you run? Custom builds from $1,999.

FAQ

Field service questions

Can techs take payment on site without a separate reader?
Yes. The tech sends a text-to-pay link from the mobile app and the customer pays on their own phone before the truck leaves. Bluetooth readers and tap-to-phone are available for cards in hand.
How does progress billing work on a $30,000 job?
The signed estimate carries the schedule: a deposit at signing, a draw at rough-in, the balance at final. Each milestone sends its own invoice with a pay link by card or ACH, and the job shows what's collected and what's owed.
Why ACH for large invoices?
ACH costs a flat per-item fee instead of a percentage, and the business decides whether the payer covers it. On a large commercial invoice that swaps a percentage of the ticket for one fixed fee. Residential customers who prefer a card can still pay by card. Returned payments pass the processor's return fee through at cost, with two automatic retries.
Can customers finance a replacement system?
We don't lend. Consumer financing is available through our referral partners, and approved amounts settle into your merchant account like any other payment. Card-on-file installment schedules are built in for smaller balances.
Does it handle maintenance agreements?
Yes. Memberships bill monthly or annually to the card or bank account on file, schedule the seasonal visits, retry failed payments and text the customer when a card needs updating.
